Project DescriptionNanjing Railway Station, built in September 1968, is located in the north of the ancient city of Jinling. It is located on the banks of the Haohao Yangtze River and under the majestic Purple Mountain, with Xuanwu Lake in the front and Xiaohong Mountain in the back.
It has a superior geographical position and beautiful landscape environment. In 1999, a fire broke out and the station house was burned down. In 2002, the China Ministry of Railways, Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City Government jointly invested in the reconstruction of the original site. The total investment of the new station house reconstruction project was 350 million Chinese Yuan, which lasted for three years.
After the expansion, Nanjing Railway Station has 14 platforms, 14 platform arrival and departure lines, 2 main lines, 2 locomotive routes, the total area of the north and south main stations reaches 50,000 square meters, and there are also the south square facing Xuanwu Lake and the north square facing Xiaohongshan.
